For the second day of Kwanzaa, Ryan Whitley of Tableau Software will share his genealogical journey. Ryan will guide us through his quest to reconnect his family roots through data. Join this workshop to learn how you can do the same.
Speaker Bio:
As an engineering manager at Tableau, Ryan leads teams of software engineers, data engineers, PMs and external vendors to coordinate and deliver new geospatial features to Tableau products.
Ryan has spent his career working with geospatial data and tools and is passionate about helping people derive insights from and building knowledge centers around maps and spatial analysis. He spent over a decade consulting as a full-stack web application developer for large international development organizations such as the American Red Cross, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the International Food Policy Research Institute. He also had the privilege to work on interesting problems for Ericsson, Plum Creek, T-Mobile & PJM Interconnection.
